Practice Closure Notice

Hello,

After many years in practice, I have retired, and River Woods Counseling Services permanently closed on June 19, 2026.

Your medical records have been transferred to the Custodian of Records for my practice, TheraClosure. They will be responsible for securely maintaining your records for the length of time required by state law.

Protecting your privacy remains a top priority. TheraClosure is a company of licensed mental health professionals, and your confidentiality will continue to be protected. No one may access or review your records without your written authorization, except as permitted or required by law. Your information will remain securely stored and maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

If, at any point in the future, you believe your records would be helpful for continued care or would like them shared with another mental health provider, you may contact TheraClosure at help@theraclosure.com or 301-804-1241. They will be happy to assist you and will provide information about the simple steps needed to request your records, including a signed authorization form and proof of identification.
